was born on 24th of April 1978 in Nienburg (Lower Saxony,
Germany). I play recorder (from sopranino to bass) since I was eight years
old. My participations at serveral competitions of "Jugend Musiziert" (quartette and solo assessments) were very successful - e.g. 1st rank, 1st place at the lower saxony competition in Hannover.

In the context of my concerts as a temporary member of the company "Alte Musik Nienburg (EAM Nienburg)" I gained my first experiences in "old music" by playing historical music instruments. That was my first step into the field of historical dancing.

After passing my "Abitur" in 1997, I began studying lectureship for maths and germanistics with focus on learning- and speech-disabled children in Hannover.

In winter semester 2002/2003 I passed my first state examination with an average of 1,4. After that I started post graduate studies for a Ph.D. with focus on pedagogics. During my research regarding a useful topic for my dissertation I finally came to the -at first unusually appearing- combination of germanistics and dancing. The working title of my thesis reads as follows: "The implications of dancing lessons on the graphomotoric abilities of elementary school childrens." I try to get an answer to the question to what extent dancing has a positive impact on elementary school children's graphomotoric abilities. The empirical research will be accomplished at different elementary schools in Germany.

In January 2005 I transfereed my dissertation to the sport sciences faculty at the university of Osnabrück.

In addition to my activities in historical dancing I spent much time to improve my ballroom dancing skills. In autumn 2004 I started competition ballroom dancing together with my boyfriend for the club of TTC Gelb-Weiss Hannover. Futhermore I recently founded together with some friends a hobby formation which has already finished its first projects, a swing and a salsa choreography (I already began to dance Salsa in 2001).

Due to this multiplicity of activities I don't have time for my other favourite hobby at the moment, the photography.
